Advances In The Acute Management Of Cardiac Arrest

Cardiac arrest is the cessation of effective cardiac output as a result
of either ventricular asystole, ventricular tachycardia, or ventricular
fibrillation (VT/VF): the end result is sudden cardiac death (SCD).
Sudden cardiac death describes the unexpected natural death from
cardiac cause within 1 hour of onset of symptoms in a person without any prior condition that appears fatal.
